Please help us save Shadow

This is Shadow. She is our little angel. Earlier this week, she was diagnosed with a kidney infection. She was sent home with multiple medications, including medicine that helps make her want to eat. Since then, she has been in and out of the vet three more times due to continuing problems. The medicine for her appetite isn't working and she still isn't eating. After another visit to the vet yesterday, we learned that she is likely developing fatty liver syndrome. In order to help prevent this, we would need to get a feeding tube inserted so we could help her get the nutrients she needs to help ease the burden that her liver is taking on from her lack of eating. 

My fiance and I aren't well off people. We have been burning through the money that we have saved trying to help Shadow get better and while it is working, it isn't working fast enough. Between the costs we have already accrued, of having the feeding tube put in, continuing her medications and at-home fluid injections, affording the very specific diet she is going to need to help her body recover, and follow-up vet visits to check on her health for both the kidney infection and her liver, our money is running out fast. 

But with your help, we can help our baby girl. Any money that we earn here would go towards paying for those vet bills, her medications, and her prescription food. We love our Shadow to pieces and we are earnestly asking for your help. 

Our situation is made all the more difficult because of two months ago our other cat, Kissy, had to be put down. Shadow and Kissy were bonded and we think that may have had some small impact on Shadow's health. Not only that but losing our other cat so soon after Kissy would be devastating for both my fiance and myself. Shadow has been our rock through a lot of the emotional distress that came after Kissy's passing and the thought that we might be losing her soon just because of money cuts deep.
