Haley's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
Haley Morton is the Daugher of Kevin & Brenda Morton, Grand Daughter of Bill & Sharon Morton and Joyce Roper. Haley was adopted at a very young age, blessing Kevin and Brenda with the opportunity to be her parents. She had a very rough road in the beginning of life due to her birth mother using drugs and alcohol before and during the pregnancy. As we all know, the early part of developement is the time the brain is developing. Unfortunately drugs and alcohol can have long lasting effects that are not simply healed through love. Haley has diagnoses of ADHD, OCD, ODD, DBD, CD, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Static Encephalopathy. Growing up, she has been agressive both verbally and physically, done self harm, lacks respect and has had great struggles in school. Haley has also had a difficult time in building relationships with her peers and has a history of being bullies in school.
Despite spending 13 years in a loving attentive 2-parent Christian home, Haley continued to struggle with difficult behaviors. Haley has spent 7 years going to numerous therapist , psychiatrist and psychologist. They would prescribe a variety of medications. Ther was some improvement but the difficult behaviors were still there. Everything came to a breaking point in August of 2015. Haley was arrested for assaulting her Dad. She was then arrested in January of 2016 for assaulting her Mom. One week later she spent 7 days in Juvenile Detention for false allegations at school. She was also expelled. The aggressive behavior is now more the we could deal with as a family.
Dr. Brian Crane her psychologist let Haley know she has 3 roads to choose from. 1 Dead in 6 to 9 months. 2 In jail for the rest of her life. 3 Get the help she needs so she can be successful in the future. Thankfully, Haley choose road number 3. It is and extremly difficult decision to send your child off for 10 to 12 months; 1,200 miles from home, but necessary for her safety as well as the family. In an effort to find the best placement for Haley, we reached out to Educational Consultant Mary Warren. She helped guide us to Diamond Ranch Academy in Hurricane, Utah. Three other places turned us down. Diamond Ranch Academy is a top notch Residential Treatment Center in Hurricane, Utah specializing in kids like Haley. They are aware of the challenges adoptive childern face and work closely with the family to bring healing to the whole family. Unfortunatley, Insurance is not paying for the cost of the Residential Treatment Center which is $5,600 per month. Haley is part way through her journey at Diamond Ranch and great progress has been made. She just needs to be able to finish the journey.
There are very few resources for families who face these challenges. We have exhausted our savings and now we are looking to you to help Haley complete her journey and bring our family back together. We need your support during this very difficult time, emotionally, financially, and spiritualy. Please condider a one time or monthly donation to help Haley's life, offering her hope and a bright future.
100% of the donations will be going to Diamond Ranch Academy for Haley's medical expenses. By Haley being able to finish the program our family will be able to be whole once more. We will be thankful for any amount you are able to give.
If you find it in your heart to give a donation of $50.00 or more  you will receive a wood cross that this handmade by the Morton family.
Thank you for helping our family
