Start a new life

I have never found it easy to ask for help, and this is not something I do lightly. However i have had a tough journey in the last few years and have made it through with lots of love and support from those close to me. However I feel that If I can put away my pride and ask for some help that I could maybe speed up the process to me being the man I know I can.

So here is a brief overview of my story not to evoke some false emotion for financial, gain but Instead to speed up my journey to becoming the person and contributing member of society I know I can and have been in the past.

My gorgeous wife of 9 years passed away after a long hard battle we fought with breast cancer.  For anyone interested here is my wifes story about her battle with cancer, in her own words, months before she passed. Cathys Story . 
  

The Positive point of that story and the massive blessing through all that was that we were Blessed with 2 Beautiful children.  They will ensure the memory of that Incredible woman that I had the immense blessing of sharing so much with. 

Now after 2 and a half years, and after much hard work emotional rebuilding, grieving and self-discovery I have reached a point where massive changes are needed for my children and I. I want to give them the best hope for a possible future in all aspects of life.  Currently I don’t believe that that place is South Africa. As a family we had to deal with the Cancer and the cruel disease that was, but on top of all that we faced the added pressure of the living in South Africa.

Whatever other people’s thoughts may be on this country we were directly affected and still are.  In 2008 while dealing with so much else that was hard enough we had a home invasion where we were attacked in our home. We were shot at point blank range bullets landing inches from my gorgeous daughter. Things could have been so much worse except for the grace of god as miraculously no one was hurt. The sad part is we must be grateful for that, which I am , but no person should have their right to life and safety so brutally violated.

Since then I do live in fear as a father for my ability to protect my children. Just recently at my daughter’s school a child was attacked with all indications pointing to a possible sexual assault. Yet again we sit back and are thankful that things were not worse. I can no longer do that and I have made plans and preparations to move myself and children out of South Africa. 

Having exhausted my resources and burdened caring family as I make such a life changing move I realized that I cannot do it all myself and can make it easier if I ask for Help so here it is, any generous support will be appreciated more than you can imagine. The money will be used to help with flights relocation and settling costs.

Losing my wife was hard enough but we were a partnership in everything and since her passing I have faltered in finding my feet financially again. Being an accountant and then losing everything I own for various associated reasons relating to having so much to deal with has made getting up again without that constant partner feel almost insurmountable.

I am well educated, innovative and I believe if life has proven anything to me it seems that I can handle the harsh realities of life. However maybe I no longer need to handle them completely on my own, and I can bury my pride and ask for help from those that can, and want an opportunity to serve. So here I am humbly asking for your help. I pledge that I will once I have settled myself and began on the prosperous journey I believe I am destined for,after being the stronger person from all this definitely pay it forward.
