Xena's Leg Amputation Vet Bill

Tax deductible

NJ Aid for Animals works 24/7 including holidays.  On July 4th  at 2:00 pm we received word this little rag doll was being put to sleep at a kill shelter in Philadelphia at 5:00 pm. because she was so matted the fur had wrapped around her leg down to her bone and the shelter had no way to  help Xena.

We could not let that happen.   We raced from S. Jersey to Philly and by 4:00 pm Xena was at the emergency vet where she spent two days being stablized before her leg could be removed.  She was in excruciating pain.

Now Xena is happy, healthy and ready for her forever home. She doesn't even know she has lost a limb and gets around just fine.  The vet was kind enough to do the surgery to get Xena out of her pain and  allow us to raise the funds.  We owe $1,625.00 to our vet that has to be paid.

Xena didn't deserve to die just because someone threw her away in the street.  She hadn't been groomed in months and wandering the streets she must have been miserable with all the hot weather we have had and the fur matted to her skin.

We can help MORE like Xena but cannot accumulate large vet bills without paying them off first before helping another one.

We would be grateful for ANY amount and if you would share this post.
