Help Xander Walk Again

Donation protected
A West End resident witnessed this approximately 4-month-old puppy get hit by a car. The car didn't even slow down, and the puppy was clearly injured. West End residents banded together to get him, now christened Alexander George (Xander), to the vet and save his life.

Xander went to the Village Vets in Decatur (VVD), and they stabilized him and treated his shock and pain. It turned out that in addition to being covered in fleas and having a belly full of bones from scavenging,  Xander has a badly broken femur in his back leg that isn't expected to heal well. The best option for such a young dog is amputation and rehabilitation. Xander's angels have agreed to care for him in the short term, and a local 501c3 rescue, Laskey's Lucky Ones and Volunteers (LLOV), is committed to helping Xander recover, rehabilitate, and find a forever home.  Of course, all of this is expensive.

Xander will have surgery by the end of July, and then need therapy to learn to live life as a three-legged dog. Can you help us to help him? All funds will go first to paying for Xander's treatment at VVD, and then to the rehabilition fund at LLOV.
