Last Semester #JanuaryScholarship

I am just a kid from Brooklyn. I have seen a lot, been through a lot and have endured a lot, and trust me when I say that I am blessed to be in the position that I am currently in. East Flatbush, Brooklyn was not always the place that it is today. It was once a place that had a lot of negative influences including drugs, gangs, crime etc. This is typical of lower-class neighborhoods, but this is exactly what I grew up in. I have been influenced by some of these things earlier in my life, but thanks to family, God and my ability to understand the bigger picture, I have been able to rise above the negativity and be placed in a position to succeed.  

I am happy to say that I am in my last semester of undergrad at Baruch College, and that I have a full-time job lined up after graduation. I have been able to excel in school thus far, being on the dean’s list every semester since entering college, and am ready to end my undergraduate career the right way. I have paid tuition for my last semester, and simply need funding for books, life etc. That is why I am making this campaign so that I can be eligible for a $1,000 scholarship from GoFundMe.   

The way the scholarship works is that I have to create a GoFundMe campaign and get at least ten people to donate to be eligible. I am very close to the ten people mark, however, I figured that I would keep pushing to reach the $500 goal that I set for the campaign.

Thanks for all the support, and I promise to use all the knowledge that I obtain from school, the workforce and through my life and experiences to benefit others in the future. Let’s make this happen guys. P.S. a minimum of $5 is fine for a donation.
