June's Medical Fund

Jason and Erin Hollenkamp are the proud parents of Sawyer and June.  During Erin's 26th week of pregnancy they learned that baby June suffered from Tracheoesophageal Fistula. TEF is when the babies esophagus is a missing a section and the section of esophagus coming from the stomach is connected to the trachea.  Doctors informed Jason and Erin that baby June would require surgery 24-48 hours after birth.  Due to this condition, June has encountered several set backs in her young life.  Some of those complications have included being on a ventilator, having a G Tube, a hole in the top chambers of her heart, and VSD (blood in the left side of her heart which is normally pumped to the body can travel to the right side which is normally pumped to the lungs).  VSD causes June's heart and lungs to work harder.  Theses are just a few of the obstacles June has encountered, not to mention the countless number of corrective surgeries.  

With June's ongoing struggle to keep food in her system, she lost too much weight and their surgeon decided it was best to hospitalize her until she was well enough for the most recent surgery.  The first week of January they were informed certain medicines and medical supplies wouldn't be covered by insurance.  These medical supplies and prescriptions  are necessary for June to live under her current treatment plan.   Finding out that insurance is no longer covering something they have used for the last 18 months was harsh blow.  

This page was created to help ease the medical costs for the Hollenkamps.  The funds raised will go directly to paying for travel costs (Lurie's Children's Hospital which is located in Chicago), medications, medical supplies, and hospital bills.  Help us raise money so that June can get the necessary medical treatment needed and the peace of mind her parents deserve.
