My Story:
As many of you know, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in the summer of 2015. I had a full hysterectomy in October of 2015 where the surgeon took out a cantouple size cyst on my right ovary. One month after my surgery, I was put on chemo treatments. I went through 5 rounds of the chemo and went into remission.

In October of 2016 the cancer came back. My oncologist prescribed a more aggressive chemo treatment to treat the recurrence. In December I received that first chemo treatment, but I did not take to it very well. I was very sick from the treatment for over a month.  I asked my doctor if there were any other choices besides this chemo to treat my cancer. She told me no.

After much prayer and godly counsel, I felt the Lord lead me to an alternative treatment for my cancer. On January 2nd of this year, I consulted with a doctor that gave me several choices to treat the cancer that are more natural and less harmful to my body. I immediately started on a Vitamin C treatment and changed my diet completely to help build up my immune system that was completely destroyed while I was on the prior chemo treatment.

I will also need to have surgery sometime in the spring of this year to eliminate any lingering cancer cells through a procedure called Hi-Pec at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC. However, I still need to have some chemo to fight my type of cancer for 3 months beforehand.  So I will going on a treatment called IPT (Insulin Potentiation Therapy) which will allow a small dosage of the chemotherapy to enter the damage cancer cells more selectively and effectively by utilizing the chemo in conjunction with the use of glucose and insulin. The chemo would be a lesser dose and because it will directly go into the cancer cells, it will be less invasive on my body while keeping my immune system and blood cells healthy and intact.

Though this treatment is FDA approved and has been around since the 1920's and has been effective in treating cancer (I do my research) the insurance company will not cover it because it is not considered a conventional treatment for cancer.

I start my first treatment of IPT on February 7th and need to do this treatment weekly for 3 months until the surgery. These chemo treatments are beyond my financial capability, but I feel without a shadow of doubt this is the way to go.

How You Can Help:
I humbly ask my family, friends and even friends of friends first to pray as I believe that God not only hears our prayers, but answers prayer. The second is if you feel led in your heart to support this journey of healing through a financial donation, I will be extremely grateful and it will be much appreciated to help pay for these medical expenses.

Most importantly , I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for walking with me through this and for each of you. I believe that I will be healed of this cancer and that God can and will use this to minister to others.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you are able to make.

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Amen
