Small congregation needs help!

Donation protected
Saint Andrews United Methodist Church (SAUMC) is a Historical Church on the Southside of Fort Worth, Texas and we need your help!

Our 112 year old building is in dire need of repair. We would be blessed to receive assistance in raising $300,000 to refurbish or replace our missing and damaged stained glass windows. (See pictures)
Our original stained glass windows have been broken over the years through vandalism that was not covered by insurance.

Overall, we need to renovate, expand, and modify our church. SAUMC is celebrating 128 years of existence and we have launched a Capital Campaign to raise funds to pay for some of this project which has an estimated cost of over $5,000,000. This sacred endeavor we have undertaken will enable us to continue and expand our community outreach programs.

We most recently won an award for our incredible community outreach at the Central Texas Annual Conference. Currently, the church is providing the following community outreach programs:

* A monthly community Food Pantry;
* Second year of Freedom School, which is funded by   the Children's defense Fund;
* ESL/GED classes;
* Periodically we caravan to Unity Park to serve food to the homeless population;
* Supply of food packs for the homeless upon request;
* Distribution of turkey and food baskets during Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays;
* Donated clothing to the Bethlehem United Community Center;
* Serve as mentors and tutors to children who attend local Van Zandt-Guinn Elementary School; also assist with the school's "Read to Win" program;
* Local school children use the Church gym for basketball activities;
* The Church Sanctuary is the venue for the Van Zandt-Guinn Elementary School graduation ceremonies.

Although this is a significant list of outreach activities, the church members want to do more for the community. This is the spirit of our congregation and we are presently limited only by the contraints of our facility.

As we are a small congregation consisting mostly of senior individuals on fixed incomes, we would be blessed to receive assistance in raising the $300,000 to repair our stained glass windows. All donations are tax deductible and no donation is too small.

Thank you for considering a donation and please feel free to stop by and worship with us. This will also give a first-hand view of our facility.
