Help Filling in the Gaps in American History (FIGAH) become more secure and grow
You donation will help rebuild the FIGAH website with even more information on the lives of women, men and children that are not taught in schools and how historical events that are taught were experienced by people of African descent in the Americas. I have notes that need to be expanded into essays, fact sheets or activities, updated links to additional resources and want to include lots of interactive features and suggestions on how to use the material to augment what various curricula offer.
We also need to replace a 10x10 canopy for outdoor events along with sign holders and a printed table cover.
Finally if enough funds allow, we would like to file the required paperwork with the IRS to become a 501(c)3 corporation to make us eligible to apply for educational and cultural grants.
Thank you in advance for whatever level of support you can provide to help FIGAH continue and move forward.
Launch is a less than a week away.
The new website design will be done next week and site ready to launch the first week of September. Meanwhile we have established relationships with a few select distributors to enable you to purchase books, DVDs, African market baskets through our site.
Donations of any size still being gratefully accepted.
Love the work you are doing and we can share information. I work with the National Black Railroader's Historical Society ...uncovering railroading pioneers and black firsts who went unacknoweledged. Will get in touch through private message.
