On Sunday, January 13th our loving mother passed away at age 56. She was terminally ill and fought for her life each day. She was given until April 2018 to live, but she refused to accept that and lived another 9 months to spend more time with her family and friends. When her body could no longer support her she joined the angels in heaven where she can now watch over her 3 daughters, husband and 9 grandchildren.
She was a vibrant fun loving person who took pride in everything she did. She raised 3 daughters and was currently raising 3 of her grandchildren. She loved being a mom/grandmother, but also had determination to pursue her lifelong goals. From going back to school to receive her GED to teaching art classes she always strived to give her absolute best in everything she did. Her love for art and her vision for beauty were seen in many different paintings, from canvases to wine glasses. Her art work was featured in numerous locations throughout Hampton Roads.
She loved being outside and in the beauty of God's creation sipping a warm cup of coffee and soaking in all God's glory. She enjoyed the simpler things in life and would always find a way to bring the best out of those around her. She was positive and always uplifting often inspiring those around her through God's word. Her smile and laughter were contagious and she had such zest for life.
We are asking for help with her funeral services. Jennie Lindberg, her daughter will be in charge of the final expenses. We would greatly appreciate any help we can get, and thank you immensely for all the love and support.
