Jaxx's Medical Fund

Hi! My name is Beth and I started this campaign to help with the medical costs for my 5 year old nephew Jaxx.
Jaxx's medical journey started out as an every day common cold and developed into a parents worst nightmare. His sinus's weren't draining properly and created a blockage which caused an infection to move into his eye and formed and abcess. His eye became slightly puffy and quickly (within a few hours) developed into a serious situation. Jaxx was taken to his dr and given antibiotics but after 24 hours, the swelling only got worse. He was taken to the hospital and accessed. Jaxx was then transfered to another hospital by ambulance. There was a chance that Jaxx would need surgery to drain the abcess and remove the pressure off his eye. If the pressure wasn't under control, Jaxx risked losing his eye sight or the infection could spread to his brain. Luckily after being transferred and put on some heavy duty iv antibiotics, the pressure was undercontrol and the risk of surgery was decreased. He was admitted into the hospital and will be kept there for a few days for observation. Once the dr's wean him off the iv antibiotics and onto oral antibiotics, they will monitor him to ensure the infection is under control and will hopefully be sent home. I am hoping that by creating the campaign, I can help my sister and her husband have a peace of mind as the medical bills will start to come in shortly. No one is prepared for the surprise costs of an emergency so any little bit will help. Thank you in advance and please pray for my nephew.
