Hello! My name is Alina and I have Erythromelalgia. This has left me confined to my home because it is too painful to leave it. It has taken a large part of my life away, and it has been a lonely and difficult road. I was left with the belief that I could no longer contribute or even participate in life as I once knew it. What's often missed when considering the well being of people with disabilities is their need for participating with the outside world. For many, our ability to leave our homes or even our beds has been lost. This can lead to a very lonely existence.     After years of feeling this loss, I discovered Virtual Reality! VR has given this missing part back to me! It gives back the freedom to move around, explore, be productive , and most importantly: to truly socialize again! I can't put into words the joy this has brought me since the moment I stepped in! I had yet to discover the social opportunities at first but just the ability to leave my home and explore some amazing places for the first time in several years gave me such joy and excitement! I was leaving my home again! Then I discovered Altspace, a social environment where you can explore, play games and meet new and wonderful people. I now had the ability to not just see outside my home but to be with others too!  WE WANT TO GIVE NOT JUST VIRTUAL REALITY, BUT A NEW AND FUFILLING LIFE TO THOSE WHO DESPERATELY NEED IT. YOUR GIFTS WILL HELP SHARE THIS SAME JOY THAT ANGELA AND SIAH ARE ABLE TO ENJOY.       Virtual Reality gives the opportunity to talk face to face with others, join in their activities, and for those like myself, the opportunity to go to church again! It brings the world to them when they don't have the ability to go into the world! Unfortunately, Virtual Reality can be quite expensive and for those unable to work, this technology can be almost impossible to obtain. YOUR GIFT WILL HELP TO MAKE THE IMPOSSIBLE POSSIBLE AGAIN!    Virtual Reality has given me a fulfilling life again. I went from what felt like the ability to do nothing to having the ability to do anything! It's given me a busy life again, with reason to wake up and get going in the morning. I now go to church every Sunday, and I'm leading a life group weekly to gather with and encourage each other. I'm even helping to start this charity to give this same life changing opportunity to others in need. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING US GIVE VIRTUAL REALITY AND LIFE BACK TO SO MANY! YOUR DONATIONS AND SHARING WILL CHANGE LIVES!    Meet Henry, Henry is quadriplegic. He is unable to use his hands and yet he has designed our VR Church logo as well as other amazing artworks. Just think of all the other amazing things he will be able to do once we are able to purchase an Oculus Go for him! He will actually get to attend  the church he helped create! We will use your donations to purchase and give Virtual Reality headsets to Henry and others like him, like myself! For every 200 dollars we receive, we can help change the life of another person. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR DONATIONS AND FOR SHARING THIS WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY! If you or someone you know is in need of our help, please click the link below and fill out the application. Please note, this assistance is for people with disabilities that have minimal ability to participate with the outside world and have limited funds. It doesn't matter the reason. It can be a physical or mental disability. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScLzlgVmt3UuWpV3rdo1GuFxVGEYuOHEMntnuwLfmecawThkQ/viewform

I'm so excited to share the good news! we just sent another headset out to a woman who struggles with a disability and the resulting isolation.
She says .....
"I'm on SS Disability for PTSD, depression, generalized anxiety, & paranoia. My disabilities make leaving my home for almost any reason very difficult and scary. Even when I do get myself out the door, I'm always very late because of the time spent on my inner struggle. I often miss the goal activity because I'm too late. Also, once I'm out, I can get an anxiety attack that causes me to get a "head rush" where I can't see and everything sounds very far away. That causes a fear of blacking out and, therefore, even more difficulty being around people."
Virtual Reality is such an important tool not only for those with physical disabilities but also for those with emotional or mental disabilities and often these two can go hand in hand. Virtual reality can't make you physically walk again though it can make you feel as if you can. For disabilities of the brain such as depression and anxiety I believe Virtual reality can aid in actually treating if not curing some of these conditions.
I'm not a doctor so this is just my opinion but it is based on my experience with others improvements using VR and suffering with mental/ brain disabilities.
I can't thank you all enough for helping to make this happen for her and others! She will be receiving her headset tomorrow and i will be sure to post an update again after she has had some time to use it and has discovered her new abilities. She is excited to be able to go back to experiencing life at its fullest!
Thank you!

I also wanted to include a video of me speaking about my baptism. it really speaks to just how valuable a tool Virtual Reality headsets are for those with disabilities.
We are opening up whole new worlds for those that have been living with their homes or their beds being their entire world.
Thank you so much for your support!

I have a very exciting update! Crystal, our most recent recipient, was baptized Sunday in Virtual reality, at Virtual Reality Church! Because of her disability she is unable to go to church in the physical world and thanks to Virtual reality she is not only able to attend church again but was able to be baptized too!
We are so grateful to all of our donors and those that share our charity. Crystal and those like her wouldn't be able to experience life at its fullest with you.
I also want to thank Crystal. As a community we are able to give Crystl the support and encouragement she needs but we also receive so much from her.
Thank you Crystal for your bravery, love and inspiration.

Kimberly (squirrelly) was also baptized in Virtual reality at Virtual Reality Church.
She wasn't a recipient from our charity but was part of our inspiration for starting this Charity. She is disabled and confined to her home most of the time. She is a dear friend of mine and I gave her a headset from my personal funds before we began Virtual Reality Giving Life Back!
After seeing what a difference this has made in my life then in hers, I just had to share this with as many people in need as possible. She now leads a much fuller and happier life thanks to Virtual reality. I'm including baptism videos. We never could have done this without VR!
congratulations Kimberly (Squirrelly) and Crystal!

Thank you all! You did it again!
We just received enough to send out another headset!
This one is being sent to a woman named Crystal.
she suffers from Neurofibromatosis type 1. and a severe anxiety disorder. Between her pain and her severe anxiety it is extremely difficult for her to get out of her house and live a fulfilling life in the physical world.
With the Oculus GO you have given her she can start a new life with friends exploring and flourishing in this new world. She says she can't wait to go to church again for the first time in a long time. I can't wait to meet her and help get her started on this new adventure.
All thanks to all of you!
