Sister's House Burned Down

Donation protected

Early this morning I received a call from my sister notifying me that our other sister's house had caught fire in the early morning hours. Debbie lives in North Carolina and is taking care of our mom, who was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.  Our mom was asleep in her bed when Debbie saw the smoke churning from the rooftop. She ran inside, grabbed our mom, wrapped a blanket around her, and put her into her wheelchair. Debbie said that the smoke was so thick that she couldn't tell where she was or what direction she was going. Luckily, she made it to the door and literally jumped out with my mom clinging to her wheelchair. I'm am thankful that they both made it out alive but the house and cat did not.  They have lost everything and could really use your prayers right now. The Red Cross has given them a place to sleep for the night and neighbors have stopped by offering them food and blankets.
