Help Edwina Fight Stage 3bc Cancer

Hello my name is Alex. First, l'd like to thank you for clicking on our story, it really does mean a lot to me.
The young lady sat beside me in the photo is Edwina, my best friend and girlfriend of 16 years. Shortly after we became a couple back in 2003, Edwina was admitted to hospital in Hull. It was there, where after many months of tests, it was discovered that Edwina had Lupus, which is an autoimmune disease that attacks a persons tissues and organs. Lupus itself is a very complicated and dangerous disease, that has made her current situation all the more problematic.
The following year Edwina graduated from University and returned to Hong Kong. We wanted to continue our relationship and so 9 months later we were reunited on the other side of the world!
Over the course of the next 14 years, Edwina's illness caused her to be in an intensive care unit and had to undergo bilateral hip replacement surgery as a result of having to take medication to control the Lupus for so many years.
Lupus is not an easy illness to deal with, it brought her arthritis, heart and kidney problems too. Though Edwina has to visit the hospital often for blood transfusions due to thalassemia, she always tries to stay positive about her health situation.
Sadly in March 2019, we received the devastating news that Edwina had stage 3bc cervical cancer. The team of oncologists had designed a course of treatment which consisted of radiotherapy, chemotherapy and brachytherapy.
Since her diagnosis we have been to two private hospitals for MRI / CT and PET scans. There will be further MRI scans to be performed and doctor's appointments to attend throughout her treatment. The past few months has been truly awful and devastating but with the support of family and friends, we are fighting strong and hard!

I simply don't understand how so many bad things could happen to such a lovely person, it just doesn't make sense!!!
