Noah's whos two years old got sick with an infection that took most of his lg intestines and with a parents worst nightmare that his kidneys were not going to come back. Resulting in end-stage renal disease. Next surgery is planned for September 12th to reconnect his intestines, and to also put in a feeding tube. Noahs diet is very important for his health, making sure he drinks the right amount of fluid, and eats the right kinds of food, no dairy, limited salt, and phosphorous. Being hospitalized sense July 11th at OSF Peoria IL. We need to find a new home or landlord needs to do some repairs for our son to come home. He will have to live on dialysis until transplant ready 14-18 months. Due to Noah's condition I will not be returning to work to care for Noah. Noah has three sisters Isabella age 9, Alexandra age 5(who lives with her mother), and Erica at just a month old now. Noah will have to travel to Peoria once a month at least to see his kidney doctor and that's 80 miles away from home. Money is a big hassle for us ATM due to Noah's condition and trying to apply for help is impossible with me being away from home. We have gotten other donations that we are very gratefully for and thank you everyone for all your love and support through this difficult time.+ Read More
Noah will be going into surgery tomorrow morning at 9am. Reconnection of his intestines feeding tube put in and checking on his PD cath and placement. Hopefully is everything goes good we will get the feeding tube out of his nose tomorrow and just one more surgery after this to removed HD port after we know PD works.
Noah playing in his racecar... Fevers have been gone for almost 48hours so monday we will be able to schedule surgery again. Then I got the word today that Noah may be able to get a transplant sooner then we thought. I will have to make sure that he doesn't miss any doctors appointments and that he gets his shots when he needs to. Its good that I've been here with him and asking questions doing what I need to do for my son. This all shows good to the transplant team meaning a better chance for my son.
Unfortunately Noah's surgery for today is canceled due to a very high fever, they are doing all kinds of labs and cdc is checking on him to. Been two day and still don't know why he's having such high fevers... My poor baby looks like our stay just got extended.
