Rebuild Wylde Center's Greenhouse!

Donation protected
In June of 2016 a willow tree, that had shown no sign of deterioration, fell at Wylde Center- Oakhurst Garden, and smashed into our greenhouse.  The damage was extensive and rendered the whole the structure unsafe and unusable.  It would have to be replaced.

The greenhouse is an essential part of Wylde Center plant sale operations.  Planting in the greenhouse begins in February to have the beautiful veggie plants ready sale in March and April at our spring plant sale. Over the course of the season, we grow 1,000's of seedlings, many of which end up growing in your garden!

The plant sale is not only a beloved and affordable source of quality, local vegetables and flowers for our greater Atlanta neighbors, school gardens, community gardens, churches, local farms and non-profits, it is also the largest fundraiser for Wylde Center. The plant sale profits keep Wylde Center education programs going in schools and in the community, helps provide community events, and keeps our greenspaces open and beautiful year-round.

We have rebuilt the greenhouse, but this is a big expense that was not in our budget and we are reaching out to the community for help!  Please consider a donation to aid in the rebuild Wylde Center's greenhouse, keeping Wylde Center's spring plant sale on track in 2017 and thus keeping the Wylde Center mission to educate, cultivate greenspaces and build community in the areas we serve moving forward!
