Mission Trip to India

Our Journey:
Last summer my girlfriend when to India and her life was changed forever. She fell in love with the people there. Now she has returned to the states and wants to lead a ministry group to go to India this coming summer.
While there we will be helping take care of the children in the orphanage and helping widows in the sewing center.
There are 4 groups/types of people who are put into the lowest level of the cast system in India the "untouchables". They are orphans, widows, people who have HIV, and people who become Christians. We will be working with all of these people while in India.
Christians in India, no matter how high up they are in the caste system once they accept Jesus and become a Christian they are instantly put at the bottom of the caste system which means they are considered worse than trash.
Their dedication to their faith is amazing. The literally give up everything to God: Their status, family, and their future. As far as Indian society is concerned they have nothing and are nothing.
I want to experience this first hand and I believe that this experience will help with my overall spiritual growth.
Expenses/ plan:
To be able to go on this trip we are each asked to raise $3,000. We are coming up with fundraisers right now in our community and we are going to go to churches for donations. There are 4-5 of us going. Any extra money raised will be put toward the orphanage. We plan on leaving the first week of June and will be gone for five weeks.
Any amount of funding would be a wonderful blessing.
I understand that it is unlikely that we will get the whole $3000 from this site alone but I have faith that God will provide me the funds I need somehow. I feel that God is leading me to go and be apart of this wonderful ministry. I have been struggling with my faith as of late and from what my girlfriend has told me I belive that this experince will give me a whole new perspective on life.
