Wyakin Foundation Awareness Ride

I am on a new mission, and I’d like to invite you to join me on June 5th thru the 15th. My name is Tommy Montgomery and I am a wounded U.S. Army Veteran currently participating in the Wyakin Warrior Foundation program as a warrior. My mission is to increase awareness and help fellow wounded and injured veterans returning home. I chose to combine an awareness campaign with what has helped me find the light out of a dark situation. I’m committing to complete an Iron Butt Challenge (riding a motorcycle from border to border) where I will stop to showcase fellow veterans’ stories and sponsoring companies through a photoblog powered by social media fully supported and promoted by the team at the Wyakin Foundation.
I am asking for your financial support today, not for my ride, but for a greater cause that will help numerous people, the Wyakin Foundation. Many of the wounded and injured veterans served by the Wyakin Foundation were planning to serve for life. And as happens, combat, injury and stress have derailed their lives. They now struggle with great losses. The loss of a career, loss of purpose, loss of identity, and all that in addition to the physical losses suffered. The cost to support a warrior for one year is $5,000.00, and my end goal is to raise $40,000.00, enough to support two warriors through the entire program or eight new veterans through their first year. Wyakin will showcase your support of this event in our newsletter sent to thousands of supporters, our social media channels followed by thousands, and my photoblog which will include daily journal entries and stories of fellow soldiers.
