Helping a friend with medical bills

Carl, who lives in Oklahoma, recently underwent surgery to replace a heart valve, but is also recovering from several bone fractures sustained on his foot.  He is on limited resources and we are attempting to raise funds to help him pay any extra expenses for the hospital stay and doctor bills; but to also to give him the extra resources to purchase items needed to speed up his recovery.
