Keep the Donovan's Above Water

On the night of October 31, 2019, the Sauquoit Creek in Oneida County, New York overflowed for the first time in many decades and caused major flooding in many areas.

My retired grandparents, ages 73 and 75, had remodeled a relative's basement into a brand new, furnished apartment in August. Their lives ended up under 2-1/2 feet of muddy water.

Homeowners insurance does not cover flood damage or clean-up, and have also found black mold on several walls. They have lost everything and have no money to replace it.
