Visible Men Academy 2Gen Program

The Visible Men Academy (VMA)  Two Generation Expressive Arts Program serves 100 Kindergarten-Sixth Grade students and 40 families. This innovative Program combines Poetry, Spoken Word, Language Arts, Forum Theatre, Music, Visual Arts and Community Outreach to enhance student learning, Parent Engagement and Community Relationships. All VMA Expressive Arts events are inclusive, and represent the strength, healing and unity that is created through Artistic Expression and collaboration.
This program is led by VMA Arts Coordinator Cedric Hameed, and Co-Founder/Director of Student and Family Services Shannon Rohrer-Phillips, MSW.  The talented Jen Morrison, a Sarasota Filmmaker is creating the Docu-Series of our VMA Parent Forum Theatre Troupe Experience. The final Forum Theatre performance is 5/8/17 at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Center.


Visible Men Academy is a k-8 tuition free public charter school for boys in Bradenton, Florida. VMA embraces a Two Generation Whole Child and Family approach to education. 100% of our VMA students and families qualify for Free and Reduced Meals (FARMS) and 100% of our families are PHENOMENAL.
