Sharon Nolen's Medical Expenses

Hello, my name is Dennis Leonard and I am the brother-in-law of Sharon Nolen. After much thought and apprehension, we have decided to start a gofundme page for my sister's heroic battle against cancer. She was initially diagnosed with head/neck cancer in the spring of 2014 and has held her head high through more appointments, surgeries, and hospital visits than I can count over the past two years.

This has been a hard year – a year of continued appointments and retirement before she was ready. Teaching has, and will always be, one of her true passions in life. Unfortunately, her retirement has caused insurance complications at a time when medical care is needed most. To support her during a time of critical treatment, I am asking those who are close to our family to consider showing financial support to help pay for costs associated with her ongoing cancer treatment. Within the next few months she will conquer biopsies, CT scans, chemotherapy, and tests to investigate the DNA of her cancer with our support. Our family is hopeful to raise $20,000 to support these needs.

Sharon is the strongest person I know. She has touched so many lives with her kindness and love, and she needs our strength in return. Our family cannot thank you enough for your generosity; any little bit will show her how much we care and are here to support her.
