UFK: MISSION AFRICA
The Lord has been so faithful! He is doing wonderful things and I know that he will continue to be faithful to finish the good work He has started in me. When passion meets purpose, miracles happen. Ever since I was old enough to talk, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I have always been passionate about educating myself and spreading that knowledge to others. I truly believe education is a gift often taken for granted. So, when my new found faith collided with my passion of educating others all the way across the world; You bet I was all in. Unlike many mission trips, designed to provide supplies that will eventually disepate, our goal is to provide a sustainable independence. How are we going to accomplish this? Well, education of course! UFK has partnered with Sam, a man from Kigoma who had a vision to kick start a vocational school. Our mission is to equip men and women with the skills and knowledge to sew and use computers as a source for income. This will provide an alternative to the sad reality of stealing and prostitution used by many to earn income for their families. This is a gift that they can continue to use far after our departure. This amazing opportunity has me on the edge of my seat with excitement. Like I said before, when passion meets purpose, miracles happen! BUT, I need your help. The cost to travel and stay for 2 weeks is hefty. I can not feasibly afford to get there to help our brothers and sisters on my own. With your help I know we can meet my goal of $3,500. This will help with transportation, living, food, and all essentials during my 2 week stay in Kigoma. I recommend a gift of $25, $50, or $100, but of course any amount is more than welcome! If you cannot finaciallu support me, I hope you will be a prayer warrior for me. Thank you in advance for all your love and support! Africa, here I come!
