My name is Nahiara (Nayi) Feliciano Williams. I am from the small Caribbean island of Vieques, Puerto Rico (also known as La Isla Nena). I am a 18 year old Judo athlete representing Puerto Rico (PR) in National and International competitions. In 2020, I finished 3rd in the World Ranking under the 63 Kg – Cadets by the International Judo Federation. My ultimate goal is to be part of the PR Olympic Team and compete in the 2024 and 2028 Olympic Games.
In 2021, I will be preparing to qualify for the Panamerican Championship Games (Juniors) in Cali, Colombia. To get there, I must attend an intensive Judo bubble training camp in the Albergue Olimpico (Salinas, Puerto Rico) and a 4-week Judo bubble training camp in the ____(Miami, FL). I am required to participate in a number of classifying Judo tournaments in various countries. These competitions involve high travel expenses and miscellaneous costs associated with the preparation. I am asking for your generous support to help me achieve this goal. Any contribution and sponsorship will alleviate some of the financial burdens.

2021 Cali (Colombia) Panamerican Championships Junior - May 29
Last year, the COVID-19 pandemic derailed many of the Judo training and commitments. There have been numerous challenges but my resilience, competitive spirit, and athletic and personal goals are unbroken.
In May 2021, I will graduate from high school at the Albergue Olimpico Germán Rieckehoff de Puerto Rico. The Albergue Olímpico Germán Rieckehoff of Puerto Rico and Olympic trust is a training sports and recreation center located in Salinas, PR. It is the most complete such Center in America, housing 45 sports facilities in one location. An educational institution that generates the best youth sports talent on the island with a program of integral cognitive-constructivist training for the student-athlete. I will continue my academic journey toward college and continue to pursue my sport goals at the selected academic institution.
