Katie Burns

Her name was Katie Burns a beautiful soul , who touched so many lives.  She was 18 years old .  Her and her twin brother Collin were freshman and UNI.
Katie was full of life and her smile brighten a room. She was a kind, smart beautiful young lady. She loved fashion, music,  cheerleading and mostly being with friends and family. 
Unfortunately Katie strugged with depression and anxiety. She had been struggling with these issues for a number of years.  Depression is a disease that people can not see. Katie had everything going for her, she was beautful, smart, had a large group of friends and close friends and family support system she usually had a smile on her face and to anyone who saw her she  seemed like a happy healthy 18 year old.  But inside,  she stuggled daily.  It all became too much for her to cope with and on September 23rd she took her own life. You never know what another person is going through until you have walked in thier shoes, please reach out to people, offer help and be kind to one and other and never be afriad to ask for help yourself.
With this tradgey comes a unexpected financial need. 
The money collected will go to the family to help with furneral expenses.   Any amount is greatly appreciated thank you for all the love, support, thoughts and prayers.
