Not Just a Number

The Junior League of Schenectady and Saratoga Counties is striving to bring awareness to the many services that Planned Parenthood provides to individuals in crisis following a sexual assault. This year's provisional class has been accepting donations of new, unused personal care products and clothing to be given to survivors while they receive medical care following an assault.

As we get ready to wrap up this project, we are reaching out to those in our community who have been unable to attend one of our fundraisers but who still wish to help in some way. We are now accepting monetary donations which will be used to purchase the items we still need. This allows you a convenient way to make a donation to help those in our community who are affected by these heinous crimes, providing these women and men a small gesture of support. Remember, every small donation adds up to big returns!
  
!! Did you know that many victims will have their clothes collected for evidence while in the emergency room and often will have to go home wearing hospital pants/gowns?

!! Did you know that following a sexual assault, a person may spend anywhere from 3-12 hours in the hospital while medical staff collects evidence and necessary medical care is provided?

!! Did you know that Planned Parenthood's crisis intervention volunteers assisted over 400 victims of sexual assault in our community in 2015?
