Darling Tiara Writers Write! ✍

I’m inspired by the Octavia Butlers, Tananarive Dues, the Issa Rae’s, Ava Duvernays and Ryan Cooglers of the world. They tell very different kinds of stories. They use the written word or film to bring characters alive and I aspire to do both. I have done both. But I need to take it so much further...

I was recently accepted into Writers Week through the Hurston/Wright program at Howard University! After I finish up my summer as a site coordinator at Appleton Freedom School in Macon, Ga. I’ll be on my way! The program starts this August and to follow is the beginning of my career at SCAD University this fall where I have been accepted to study tv/film production!

Did I tell how excited I am?! Ughhhhh I can’t wait!

My biggest aspiration is to become a Master Story Teller where the nuances of humanity and societal ills really are dissected in ways that make people think deeply about the facts of their lives, even through fiction.

I want to learn about story telling and production holistically so I really understand HOW to develop characters and bring story to books and film. I know both of these programs will support that.

I need to raise some duckets for tuition! Room & board and travel! I’m close but not quite there. 
Anything would help!
