Support Dennis

I am creating this fund for my dad Dennis Chamberlin.  During the month of March 2018, my dad was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia).  AML is a blood cancer that is treatable with chemotherapy but a cure is only obtainable with a bone marrow transplant.  He has been admitted to the Norfolk hospital on a couple of occasions and in November 2018 was admitted to UNMC in Omaha for a month.  He is currently receiving chemotherapy at the oncology center in Norfolk.  He receives 2 – 3 transfusions of irradiated blood or platelets per week which has to be transported from Omaha.  We are hoping to put the cancer into remission in order to go forward with a bone marrow transplant.  The future bone marrow transplant will require him to have an extensive stay at UNMC in Omaha.  The many tests, procedures, medications and travel is very expensive.  My parents have the continuing struggle to make ends meet with their social security income and my mom's part time job.  There are many more expenses that are coming in the future as the treatment continues.  The stress of the cancer and the ever increasing financial worries are a terrible burden.  Any help you could provide would go a long way.

My Dad has worked hard his whole life to support our family.  Dad has always been active whether it be working when he was able or tinkering around the house.  He has always enjoyed spending time with family, camping trips with friends, or an entertaining card or board game.  He is known for his witty sense of humor and is always ready to willing to provide a helping hand to anyone in need.  I would like to repay him now by helping him in his time of need.  All proceeds will go to past, present and future medical expenses.  NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE!
