Hi everyone,
On October 23, 2018 my beautiful, sweet, kind, and creative 11 yr old sister Chloe Brionna Mann, went to the hospital for a scheduled MRI. The results of the test showed that her brain was severely swelling and she was admitted into the pediatrics ICU at CHKD. More scans revealed that there was a lesion on her brain. My mom immediately started praying and researching the top pediatric neurosurgeons which led us to The Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA.
One week later we were in Richmond, VA preparing for Chloe to have a surgical biopsy. The surgery was done on Halloween and there were zero complications.
Results showed that Chloe has brain cancer, specifically a Grade IV Glioblastoma. A rare, rapid, fast growing cancer. Attached is a link describing the diagnosis. This news was a shock to all. Though she is defying all odds that the doctors expected and doing great since surgery, this has taken a tremendous toll on not only her emotionally and physically but financially with the family as well. Due to her treatment all of our money is going towards bills at home where I care for my two younger brothers, plus hotel stays, rides to and from hospital and food expenses. Chloe and my mom have to travel about an hour and a half away from home in Norfolk, VA in order to get treatment 5 days a week and stay in hotels while in Richmond as Chloe's treatment is 30 mins a day. Chloe's radiation treatment will continue until the end of January and then she has to go through chemotherapy at the Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C.
We are asking you to send prayers, financial blessings, and more prayers. Any small donation will help.
