Kayla is only19 years old and was diagnosed with (Bone cancer) in her right knee and left rib on April 17th 2015. Kayla has been receiving limb salvage surgery and chemotherapy treatments for the past 8 months.
It is a 3 and a half hour drive each way to Peter Mac Cancer Centre in Melbourne.

Kayla has 3 younger siblings at home, aged 9. 10 and 11, and so her Mum, Natasha has had to put work and a normal life on hold so they could travel the distance each and every week.
Financially, with the travel, accommodation, equipment, medications, this additional worry should not have been there.
Now comes the next step in her treatment.............
Kayla is having her final chemotherapy session today. Her PET scan is scheduled for the 20th January to see if she is cancer free. Depending on the result of this test, surgery will then follow, to assist her with bending her leg as she had an artificial knee and femur inserted in August last year to remove the cancer affected bone.
So for Kayla and Natasha, working is out of the question for quite a while yet. Your kind donations will be used to assist in physiotherapy costs, transportation, equipment costs and ongoing medications.
With or without further surgery this physiotherapy has to happen to allow her to be able to walk properly again and be able to get back into the workforce, something she is really looking forward to.
Currently on a Centrelink benefit that barely covers her personal needs, this would mean so much to Kayla to be able to afford these extra expenses comfortably, and without worry,
