World Transplant Games '19 Funding

Born disabled, with congenital medical conditions including sacral-a--genesis (last 3 pieces of spine missing), dextrocardia, and a hole in the heart, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 1975 at the age of 3 and a half. Roll on 34 years later and after several diabetic complications such as laser eye treatment, replacement cataracts, surgically removed ulcers, I was diagnosed with end stage renal failure and was put onto haemo dialysis, which is a machine that cleans the toxins out of your blood four hours a day three days a week..as well as having a fluid restriction of a litre a day. Four years later I received the gift of life of a transplanted kidney and pancreas from my young heroic donor, Toby, in July 2012. I decided to take up archery in April 2016 with the purpose of entering the 2017 British Transplant games, and won silver in my first Scottish competition in November 2016. I decided to honour my donor by taking part in the British Transplant Games in 2017 in North Lanarkshire, for my chosen sport, Archery, and was chuffed to win Gold for my age group.. Even more surprising that I only took up archery the year before! Winning several medals and local club and Scottish competitions, I took part in the European Transplant Games in Sardinia in June 2018 as part of Team Great Britain, where I brought home three bronze medals for archery, Petanque singles and Petanque doubles. I then took part in the 2018 British Transplant Games in Birmingham in August 2018 and won silver in archery for my age group. I have now been selected as part of Team Great Britain for the World Transplant Games, to be held in Newcastle in 2019. Athletes have to self fund attendance and it costs around £1500 for the event, training days, uniforms and travel. Please help me to attend, and help me continue to honour my donor, Toby. Any help is greatly appreciated. Money raised will be used for games entry fees, accommodation, team training days of which team GB athletes need to attend at least three in Coventry. Any additional funds raised will be used towards funding for the British Transplant Games being held in Newport, Wales in July 2019. Many thanks in advance. https://wtgf.org/2019-wtg-newcastle-gateshead-uk/
