I’m very excited to announce I’ve been selected along with my crew mates Rach, Issy, Lauren, and Hannah (cox) to represent Australia at the World Rowing Junior Championships in the Czech Republic in August this year! (Click here for the Rowing Australia announcement).
While my teammates and I are well into training on the Road to Račice, we still need to cover the cost of flights, accommodation, food, race entries, and training camps. Although Rowing Australia covers some of the costs, individual athletes are expected to pay a seat fee of $8000 each , so any donation no matter how big or small helps get me one step closer to the Czech Republic.
Just over a week after I return home from racing, I'll be heading over to Harvard for four years of university. Obviously, this is quite a significant cost to my family so any money I can raise in anticipation of the Junior Championships (of course with the help of friends and family) would be appreciated.
Since picking up rowing in Year 8 at Queenwood, I never could’ve imagined I’d one day be representing my country in the sport that I love. Now after months of training, only a few short weeks in the four, and a week long trialling camp, we get the opportunity to race on an international stage. I’m so grateful for the support of my coaches, family, and friends and it would be amazing to have your help to get to Račice.
