My name is Tenicka Strown, parent of Kayla Thomas. The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise $600.00 in support of basketball activities, travel, basketball gear, gym space, tournaments (etc) for the "2017" school year. Kayla plays basketball and travels year around, requiring to fund raise year around.
About Kayla:
Kayla is a great kid! She's always smiling and has a bright outlook on life! She loves to help others and always stands for what's right. She's silly, goofy and full of fun!
As a result, she's a freshman at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, Virginia and will graduate Class of "2021". Kayla is a member of the student council and will serve as freshman representative for the Class of 2021. She's a great student and enjoys spending time with friends! In her spare time, she likes to practice dance routines, watch make up tutorials and do what girls do, "take selfies".
In the past 2 years, Kayla has truly dedicated herself to the sport under the guidance of great coaches and has become a college prospect for the Class of 2021- blessed and to GOD be the glory. During her last 2 years, she has played year around basketball incurring an enormous amount of fees to include travel, flights, uniform, showcases, camps, etc.
As a result, I am fundraising for donations to help support Kayla's journey, as a scholar athlete, her freshman year at Bishop Ireton High School - Go Lady Cardinals!!!!!
