Wood Family Van Fund

We are starting this campaign in order to raise money for the Wood family.  Two of the boys, Reid and Paley, were born with Myotubular Myopathy (MTM).   MTM is a rare condition with 1 out of 50,000 males being diagnosed, for this family to have 2 boys with the condition is even more rare.  Reid and Paley have limited muscular control but they certainly are not short on personality or awareness of the things happening around them.   Both boys are in wheelchairs and use ventilators to assist with breathing.  Something like this has the potential to be so draining on any family, yet their mother and father, Marie and David, love their boys with tireless care.  

Our goal is to raise $40,000 for the purchase of a van that will allow the family, David, Marie, Reid, Paley, Lucian and Blaise the freedom to get around.  There are so many things that a van will allow the family access too, including medical research opportunities and the ability to connect with other families who are also dealing with MTM.  

Our hope is that we will have all of our funding rasied by Sunday May 14th (Mothers Day) and we will present a check to Marie Wood with whatever amount we are able to raise.
