Women March on Toronto: We Will Not Go Back

On January 19th, Women March On: Toronto invites you to join together in marching, resisting and making it clear to policymakers that we will not accept rollbacks and attacks on our communities.
This march, and this movement, began in solidarity with our sisters in the United States as they demonstrated their resistance to their country’s new leadership. We march to bring awareness to the changes needed to build a safer, more inclusive Toronto. We are doing it again this year.
In order to put together an organized, safe and inclusive march we need your help in paying for the following expenses:
- An Accessibility van and ASL interpreters
- P.A. System
- Staff costs at Nathan Philips Square (custodial, security, set up)
- Honorariums for performers
- Supplies for signs/banners
- Rental of Megaphones and Walkie Talkies for our head marshals
When you donate, money is going to me (Kavita Dogra) and I am a Co-Chair of the Women March On: Toronto committee. I am responsible for managing our funds, and will use donations to pay for some of the expenses listed above and for reimbursing other committee members. All proceeds will go towards operating costs for the march. The organizers are volunteers and receive no payment.
