Women's Shelter- Care Packages

Women’s shelter-Care Packages is an initiative dedicated to supporting homeless women in need.
Through this project, care packages will be created with things such as: thermal socks, winter gloves, feminine hygiene products, and lip balm to help protect them in the upcoming colder months.
Homelessness and poverty is a growing epidemic within the GTA, did you know that:
· 35,000 Canadians experience homelessness on any given night.
· 20% of the homeless population are young people aged 16-24
· In 2009/2010, there were almost 31,000 admissions of women and children to the 171 shelters in Ontario that provided services for abused women.
With your help, we can support in the empowerment of an upward of 70 women residing at the Florence booth house women’s shelter.
