As many of you may know my son Rainier has been diagnosed with leukemia. This is such a sudden change of our reality and it is really a shock. The treatment plan is likely to take the next 3 years and will most certainly be an emotional journey. The grief is immense and this situation will be a developing story for a long time. There are some logistical complications that are associated with this difficult situation. I dropped everything to come out to Burlington, VT to be in the hospital with Rainier. I am trying to stay in college though I understand that the reality of this situation might mean that college has to wait a year or two... I will cross that bridge when I get there. The main issue is that I am currently in a financial free fall as I have no income coming in and I have rent and bills that need to be payed. I am not very good at asking for help and this feels awkward though I recognize I can't do this alone. So..... I am asking my community to help me with this as I am not sure when I will be able to get back to regular work as we are only in the very beginning of this journey.
