Lemonade Day Brooklyn

ABOUT THE EVENT:

Lemonade Day Brooklyn will take place this year on July 30, 2018.  If you or your child would like to participate, please register here .

DID YOU KNOW:

1) More United States businesses have closed than opened since 2008.

2) ½ of all United States small businesses will only survive 5 years.

3) Only 43% of students in K - 12 are taught business literacy. Our education system is lacking when it comes to teaching business education and inspiring entrepreneurial activity.

HOW POWERFUL WOULD IT BE TO START YOUR OWN BUSINESS AS A CHILD?

A REAL business.

Lemonade Day squeezes lemons into dollars while teaching today’s youth to become the business leaders, social advocates, community volunteers and forward-thinking citizens of tomorrow...one lemonade stand at a time!

WELCOME TO BROOKLYN!

We have arrived thanks to powerful community partners including:

- Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez
- Brooklyn Small Business Development Center
- Central Brooklyn Economic Development Corp
- Medgar Evers College
- Long Island University - Brooklyn
- Brooklyn Borough President's Office
- New York City Parks Department
- Intermediate School 318

MEET THE STUDENTS & MENTORS FROM IS 318 IN WILLIAMSBURG:

During Lemonade Day 2017, these students earned over $400 from their efforts.  Each student is taught to Save, Spend, and Share a portion of their earnings with their favorite charity.

DOES IT MAKE A DIFFERENCE? Ask the kids.......
