The Road to South Korea

Hello!   My name is Daniel, and I like sword fighting. I have been practicing Kendo, or Japanese fencing, for the past eight years. Here's what that looks like in action.  Ever since I started, I've dreamed of representing Ireland overseas. Last year, I took the green and fought as a member of the National Squad at the European Kendo Championships in Budapest. In 2018, I will go one step further as a competitor, and many miles further from home. This September, my teammates and I will travel to Incheon to rub shoulders with the greats at the 17th World Kendo Championship.  However, getting to South Korea won't be easy. With little funding, it will be up to each Squad member to pay their own way. I cannot currently afford the price of travel and accommodation. But, with your help, I hope to be able to book a return flight by June at the latest. Any amount that you can spare will push me that little bit closer to reaching my dream. In the meantime, I will be scrimping and saving for all I'm worth to make up the remainder.
