The Gannon Family

The tragic event that took Amanda away from her friends and family has affected everyone very deeply. Obviously her family has been dealing with a great number of personal issues and they are working to bring Amanda home and close the final chapter of her life’s story.

Amanda Gannon grew up in a large family from Maui, Hawaii. Her loving father and mother, brothers and sister and of course her son Paka all cared deeply for her. Many people may not have known that she was the only one of her immediate family that lived off of the Hawaiian islands.

Amanda’s friends have started this Go Fund Me page to support Amanda’s amazing family in this time of crisis. There are a great many travel, burial and other expenses that have been incurred by Amanda’s family. These unexpected expenses all have been paid by the family, and due to the immediate needs involved, they have been very costly.  

In addition, there are potentially large future costs coming in some form of legal action to help bring some sort of justice and compensation for the families loss of Amanda.  Amanda’s eldest brother William “BJ” Gannon will be spearheading this effort for the family.

We as Amanda’s extended family are asking people to open their heart and wallets to support the Gannon family during this time of extreme sorrow. Donations made through this site will help defray the costs involved in bringing some much needed closure to this tragic episode and help with the healing necessary to a family that lost a daughter, sister and mother way too early in her life.
