Today is January the 20th. 2017, yes this campaign is still active please read the updates posted here will bring you up to date. The following words were written when I started this campaign. " I drove Ft  Smith Arkansas School Bus 74 for almost 7 years now. This spring I came down with throat cancer. I have been in the VA Hospital for about 6 weeks or so. Since I've been here I had to undergo an emergency tracheotomy just so I can breathe. This was done while I was awake as my heart has been in A flutter since I Learned of this cancer and I could not be sedated.

Since then they have pulled all my teeth due the radiation treatments I need to my throat . 30 total is the plan today was number nine so I'm about 1/3 of the way through my treatments
I will also need 6 Chemo treatments only like four to go once a week on Fridays .
So I'm about the 1/3 along the way with treatments.

I have never smoked or used tobacco products so why me who knows. One just never knows the reasons things happen.

My only source of income was my bus driver paycheck and not working this summer has added to my financial burden.

I will have to follow up trips to see my medical team, I will have to go find me some new teeth the list of changes in my life who knows.

The most important thing you can do is pray for me and my medical team as we beat this Cancer so that I can be on that school bus again some day!

Before I came back for treatments I had to cut my 9-year-old Santa beard off.
I started having problems late summer early fall tried for months to be seen by the Veterans Healthcare  who has clinic  just 5 minutes from my home I even went stood in the cold with my protest sign in November 2014
January came was so sick that I went to a local Emergency Room and they told me I Had Cancer in my lymph nodes and throat.

It took the VA until March to agree with them and still took a month or so of running around here there with not much done.

So its like I been fighting the VA and letting the Cancer grow!

Thanks
Mr. Wayne  from bus  74 "
