Help Linden Avenue to Blaze Trails!

Founded in June 2012, Linden Avenue Literary Journal is a monthly publication that highlights the best work submitted regardless of any prior affiliations or publication. Our goal is to create a space in which writers feel comfortable in sharing their words and in turn themselves.
In an industry where 89% of the power and influence is held by white men, Linden Avenue holds a unique space.
We are one of the few literary journals headed by people of color, let alone women. We give voice to a population of writers who have a hard time being heard.
We publish regardless of resume, experience, or network. It allows us to print the very best work we come across and we are gatekeepers who hold accountable the industry for it's glaring lack of diversity. Because we exist and because we have thrived over the last four years, a path has continued to be blazed. That path was started by big name journals such as Callaloo and organizations such as Cave Canem, but we are of the new generation of journals sprouting from the seeds they sowed.
The funds we raise will be used to help us with hosting costs, upgrading our submittable account, fees for panels and conferences, and hopefully seeing Linden Avenue Literary Journal in print.
