When we hear bad news about our loved ones and dear friends, it can be devastating. On Wednesday, December 9th we heard the news that our little 8 year old Prestyn was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. It was a shock to all of us. Prestyn is such a lovable and caring young boy. He is a charismatic, goofy, and protective older brother as well. He was a healthy boy who was filled with so much energy and vibrancy. How could such a boy get this terrible disease?
Over the next four weeks, Prestyn will be getting treatment at the Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Rhode Island. During this time period, he and his family will be celebrating Christmas, his 9th birthday and New Year’s at the hospital. The biggest gift in 2016 for Prestyn’s parents is a healthy and cancer-free child. It will be difficult, especially during the Holidays, for them. His family are there to help assist him at the hospital. They are putting their lives on hold to help him. However, we can contribute to helping his parents help him beat this disease. Their concerns will be treatments and hospital visits.
As family and friends of Prestyn, we are asking you to join us by making any donation towards his medical expenses. Any support during this tough time will help.
