We may not be able to save humanity from neglecting each other, but we can save a horse from humanities neglect.
Serenity Lakeview Farms Rescue and Rehabilitation Center has a pretty significant vet bill to catch up on, and with Chance coming in (the very sick appy from TN) another big one is coming.
We are survivors, just like the horses we bring here. Often emaciated, sick, and requiring significant treatment- we bring in the ones others shy away from due to the expense.
YOU help make this happen! Donations mean that we can do more, we can help more, feed more, vet more, and help others more. It also helps make sure we still have groceries for the humans here!
Chance, the new incoming, is extremely weak from severe malnutrition, and appears to have EPM or some other major issue going on with his hind end. He unable to stand back up on his own if he lays down, unable to support much weight for long periods due to his weakness, and has been through the wringer ending with him at a feedlot in TN. Hes only 3 years old, and we believe he deserves a chance at life.
He will require diagnosis and treatment for the EPM to prevent any further neural damage - Xrays and testing, and the Marquis will cost $800. He will also require a significant amount of feed, supplements, builders, and vitamins to get over the extreme starvation and malnutrition he has been through.
Help us keep doing what we can for the most in need. Chance makes 12 on site- and with a current feed bill of $700 a month and Hay at $150 a week, winter is when all rescues need the most help and support.
