Bauer Family Support

On April 26, 2017 at around 10:00pm, Deputy Adam Bauer passed away unexpectedly as a result of a cardiac incident. Adam was 30 years old, and leaves behind his wife Amanda, 2 year old son Jacob, and another child expected in fall 2017. He was a devoted husband and father who adored spending time with family.

We are raising money for Adam’s wife and children to help ease their burden during this difficult time. The money raised will be used for living, education, and medical expenses for Amanda and her and Adam's two children.

Adam graduated from Oshkosh West High School in 2005, earned an Associate’s Degree from Fox Valley Technical College in 2009 and a Bachelor’s Degree from Marian University in 2010.

Adam began his career with the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office in 2009 as a Reserve Deputy. In 2010 Adam was selected as a full-time Deputy Sheriff. Prior to this, Adam worked at the Oshkosh Police Department as a Community Service Officer and Telecommunications Clerk.

Adam and Amanda’s son Jacob was unexpectedly born 9 weeks premature. Adam’s passing only increases the risk that the new baby will also be born early and require a costly NICU hospital stay.

Adam was a wonderful husband, father, and friend. He had a quick wit and strong sense of humor. His loss is felt deeply by his family, friends, and community.
