Badge of Heart’s latest campaign is to help a Mom and her children who are in desperate need after a man torched the house they were staying in.
LAPD Harbor Division officers arrived at the scene in Wilmington, to find the family trapped in the burning house. Neighbors and officers risked their lives to rescue them, but two of the children remain in critical condition in hospital.
In a tragic case of wrong place, wrong time, the innocent family almost lost their lives, and are now struggling to rebuild after they’ve lost everything.
This funds raised in this campaign will go directly to the family, to help pay for the children’s medical costs, and to help them with food, clothing and accommodation. They are currently homeless and the Mom is without a job as she is at her children’s sides in the hospital. Two of her children are still in ICU and will require months of Hospital care.
