Dunwoody High School FRC Robotics

$4,300 of $20,000 goal

Raised by 42 people in 6 months
We are WildCat5e ,  Dunwoody High Schools's FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team. This is our second season.

Last year, with the help of incredible sponsors like Griffith Engineering, Mohawk, and DTI Global, we were able to make it to the World Championships in Houston. We finished 3rd in our division and ended the season as the highest ranked rookie team, ranked 57th out of over 4000 teams worldwide.

This year, we have  a $50,000 budget to fill, and are hoping to continue the momentum from last year and make it to Houston again. Donations will go to funding travel expenses, buying much-needed parts and tools, and paying competition registration fees.

Thank you everyone for your continued support. With your help, I can proudly say that team 6705 has qualified for the FIRST World Championship in Houston on April 18-21

We were honored to compete in the State Championship on April 5-7. With a record of 9-3 in qualification matches, we ended ranked fifth overall and joined the second seed alliance for the playoffs. Although we lost in the quarterfinals, we won our second Safety Award of the season and had a whole lot of fun. Our strong performance at this event and throughout the season earned us a slot at the World Championship and we hope to represent Georgia well.

We are now raising funds to cover the event registration fee and travel costs. We hope you’ll consider helping us get to Houston!

We have lots of exciting news to report.

At our first competition in Gainesville, our record in the qualification matches was 12-0, We were captains of the 1st seed alliance heading into the playoffs, where we lost in a tiebreaker in the finals. We were very sad.

At our second competition in Dalton, we finished the qualification matches 11-1 and ranked 2nd. We accepted an invitation from the 1st place team to join the number 1 alliance and together, we won the competition.

We also were in 2nd place for the safety award and won the Innovation in Control award.

We are currently ranked 1st in the state and anticipate advancing to the State Championship next month. We also have a really good chance of advancing to the World Championship in Houston in April.

That's what we're raising money for...to pay the registration fees for state and worlds, and to get to Athens and Houston.

We appreciate any and all contributions!
This year's robot in action.
