We are WildCat 5e, Dunwoody High School's FIRST® Robotics Competition Team. Founded in 2017, we are a student-led organization dedicated to the encouragement of future innovators by fostering a passion for science and technology through robotics.

Each year, we build an industrial-size robot to compete in a difficult field game against other robots. We also develop a business plan, create a team brand, formulate a budget, seek mentors, and outline a fundraising plan to manage our team like a business.

During our first two seasons, we experienced unprecedented success for a new team. We won numerous awards, moved on to the playoffs in every competition we attended, and advanced to the state championship in Athens and world championship in Houston both years.

We are looking forward to an exciting new season and are setting our sights on the world championship in Houston once again. And you can help.

WildCat 5e receives no financial support from our school and must raise all funds for each season’s budget. We raise money by applying for grants, seeking corporate sponsorships, and holding local fundraising events.

We are grateful to the fantastic corporate sponsors, friends, family, and generous members of the community who have donated to help us reach and surpass our goals so far.

But . . . it’s a new season!

Will you consider supporting our team with a donation? Your contribution will help us buy much-needed parts and tools, pay competition registration fees, and cover travel expenses.

Any amount will be appreciated! Thank you for your interest in WildCat 5e.

P.S. We are also seeking corporate sponsors for the new season. If you know of a business or organization we should approach – or if you can make an introduction – please let us know at hello@wildcat5.com.
