WILD Support: Hearing Their Voice, Healing Their Pain

Ontario Wildlife are fighting for survival in a world that forgets their importance. They are failing to compete with humans, who destroy their habitat for roads, houses and shopping centres. They are struggling to find homes, and resources to feed their families.

We all want to help, but just don't know how to.

WILD Support is Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue's version of CHILD Support. Your contribution helps the hundreds of sick, injured, orphaned and abandonded animals that come into our care.

All creatures no matter how big or small deserve someone in their corner, fighting for them. Someone to make sure the sick are treated with medicine, the injured are bandaged and the young are nursed. 

As a non-government funded organization, Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue offers a free service of wildlife rehabilitation to all residence in Ontario. During the spring and summer months hundreds of baby animals find their way to our centre.

40 volunteers work countless hours ensuring that baby birds are fed every 30 minutes, baby mammals receive a bottle every 4 hours, and those that are sick are tended to.

As you can imagine the food and medical bills alone are astronomical. A growing animals nutritional needs are the most important thing we can provide them with.  Each species has their formula imported from the states. Fruits, veggies, insects, meat and formulated diets are ported out each day.

Special enclosures are built to to make sure the animals physical needs are met, and that they can not injure themselves. The feathers of a song bird are so delicate that they must have customized enclosures in order to prevent damage to their growing feathers. 

Every $20 dollars raised helps feed a wildlife animal for a week.
